Our Approach

At Compass, we believe in authenticity, respect, and kindness.

But, being authentic also means that sometimes we have to be direct and gently confrontational with clients when necessary.

Above all else, we value the therapeutic relationships we establish with our clients. There is no amount of training that outweighs a therapist’s ability to help clients feel seen, heard, and understood. And, it is at this intersection - where our clinical skill meets our ability to connect with others where healing and growth happens.

How We Approach Therapy:

Trauma-Focused

We understand that no two experiences are the same, but we believe that most difficulties are rooted in some sort of traumatic or adverse experience.

Our therapist are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment in which we can learn more about your unique story. We believe that trauma and adversity impact the mind and body. We will work together to address these impacts through the use of evidence based treatments.

Evidence-Based

We are trained in a variety of evidence-based therapy modalities and work collaboratively with you to develop a tailored approach that meets your unique needs.

We are dedicated to continuous learning, staying up-to-date with the latest research and techniques through ongoing clinical supervision and education.

Client-Centered

We pride ourselves on providing top-quality therapy services to our clients.

Our collaborative approach ensures that you are involved in every step of your therapy journey, and we will work together to meet your goals. There is certainly no one-size fits all type of therapy which is why we will try to tailor our approach, using evidence-based practices, to what works best for you. We are here to help guide you towards a healthier, happier life.
