Before your first session, we’ll have a brief phone call to get a sense of your goals. You’ll receive digital forms to complete, including intake paperwork, consent forms, and a credit card authorization. In the first session, we’ll talk about what brings you in, clarify your goals, and begin exploring how therapy can help. It’s a chance to get to know each other and start the work together.
-
Every client is different. Some feel relief after a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support.
To build momentum, I ask that new clients attend weekly for the first 2–4 weeks. From there, we can transition to bi-weekly or as needed. This is always flexible and based on your goals.
-
Under the law, health care providers must give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including mental health care.
You will receive a written Good Faith Estimate upon request or before your first scheduled session.
This estimate is not a contract or a commitment to a specific number of sessions. You are welcome to pause or end therapy at any time. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
-
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged the full session fee.
