Hi there!
My name is Zac.
ZACHARY SPOON, MA, LPC
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Troy, Ohio. I work with adults, couples, and teens who are carrying the weight of anxiety, relationship challenges, burnout, and major life transitions. Many of the people who reach out to me feel like they are at a crossroads. They know what is no longer working but are unsure of the next step. Often they are searching for clarity, purpose, and a more grounded way of moving through life.
What keeps me in this work is seeing people come alive again. I value honesty, presence, and the kind of connection that makes real change possible. My style is steady, direct, and supportive. I draw from existential therapy, somatic practices, and attachment work to create space for growth that lasts. At Compass Counseling my goal is simple. To help you slow down, face what feels overwhelming, and build the strength and clarity to live with more purpose and connection.

At different points in my own life, I’ve experienced seasons of grief, burnout, spiritual shifts and many of the things my clients bring to therapy.
I KNOW HOW HARD IT CAN BE TO ASK FOR SUPPORT WHEN YOU’RE USED TO BEING THE ONE OTHERS LEAN ON.
If you’re here reading this, take a moment to recognize the courage it took to even get this far. It means something in you already knows it’s time for change. You’re not broken. You’re growing, and growth rarely comes without struggle. My role is to walk with you as you steady yourself, find clarity, and take the next steps forward with more strength and purpose.
Outside of Work:
Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my son and my wife. I enjoy being outdoors—whether that’s hiking, golfing, or going to the Lake. I like watching sports, lifting weights, and finding a good book that makes me think. Time with family and friends is where I feel most at home, and I also value quiet moments of rest, meaningful conversation, and simple things that keep life steady and real.
