Welcome!

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Troy, Ohio. I help adults, teens, and couples navigate anxiety, relationship struggles, and the pressure to hold it all together. My approach is relational and trauma-informed, grounded in the belief that healing happens when we feel safe enough to be honest, and connected enough to stay with it.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary.

My clinical journey began in 2019 and has included both community mental health and private practice settings. I’ve worked with individuals navigating complex life transitions, trauma, relationship struggles, and anxiety. Over the years, I’ve supported adults, couples, and teenagers seeking clarity, confidence, and a more grounded sense of self. These experiences deepened my passion for helping people explore the deeper questions of identity, purpose, and connection.

In launching Compass Counseling, I’ve focused on building a space that blends clinical expertise with real human connection. I’m trained in a variety of evidence-based approaches, my work also draws from existential therapy, somatic techniques, and attachment theory to foster lasting healing and growth.

As both a therapist and a person, I’m committed to ongoing learning and transformation. I engage in professional consultation, continuing education, and my own reflective practices to stay grounded and present in the work I do.

Outside the office, I’m a husband, dad of wonderful kids, and usually found on hiking paths, exploring Ohio’s best eats, lifting weights, or diving into books on psychology, philosophy, or fatherhood.

It’s a privilege to walk alongside people as they find meaning, rebuild relationships, and live more fully. I look forward to walking with you, too.
